As we approach the new year, I want to share my reflections and goals for the Capital District YMCA as we move into 2025. This past year has been one of growth, resilience, and renewed commitment to our mission of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.

Feeling Thankful for Community
As Thanksgiving approaches, I’m reminded of the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together. Our Basket Brigade program, which started in 2016, has become a beautiful example of that spirit in action.

Dear Community Leaders,
The COVID-19 pandemic was tough for a lot of nonprofits, but the Y was hit especially hard when we had to shut down our wellness centers. Honestly, without the strength of our endowment and a few incredibly timely donations, the Capital District Y might not have made it through.
